The Best Pork Ribs of Naughty Nuri’s Warung

There are as many activities to do in Bali as there are beautiful and fun tourist attractions to visit. In fact, there are many places where all these activities can be done at once in one place. There are many shops that sell a variety of paintings, but one of the most recognizable shops is Pasar Seni Kumbasari.

It has been more than 20 years since Brian Aldinger, an American, embarked on his first trip with his Balinese wife Nuri. They traded New Jersey for Ubud to open a humble little roadside warung when the name Naughty Nuri's was first coined. Naughty Nuri's sold the best pork ribs and the most delicious martinis. The stall became more popular and has several branches. One of the branches is on Jalan Mertanadi, Seminyak which is the newest branch.

The signature menu of the legendary Naughty Nuri's is the Pork Ribs rubbed with a combination of BBQ seasoning and Balinese spices. This menu is so delicious, 1 portion is not enough for 1 person. The pork ribs are very tender and easily fall off the bone.

Favorite Culinary Tour at Warung Naughty Nuri

All menus owned and served by Naughty Nuri's do have a very delicious taste! But there are still some menus that are favorites. The menu is the Pork Belly and Pork Charsiu menu. The dipping sauce of Thai Chilly and Pork Gravy is really a nice and fresh combination. Some side dishes like rice or salad and iced tea drinks are also prepared! However, the price is quite cheap!

When I stopped by Nuri's during the day, I found out that they have a lunch saving package for only Rp. 98k++!

Fun Facts at Naughty Nuri's Warung 

A fun fact that can be found in this warung is the specialty drink menu! This is the Umpa Lumpa Shake which is a blend of milkshake and dessert served in a beautiful martini glass. The price is only IDR 75k+. However, the most interesting thing about this drink is that when you order it, there is a group of staff who will come up to your table while dancing and singing "Goyang, goyang, goyang."

They also have the famous Nuri's Martini with 110ml of delicious vodka or gin in each chilled serving. This martini has been claimed by Ched Anthony Bourdain as the best martini outside of New York.

There's a lot of fun to be had for the price, but one thing is for sure that it's keeping up with an increasingly contemporary market which means Naughty Nuri's is changing their concept to be more appealing by adding a menu and a beautiful interior design to photograph.
